| The TSB Combined Mechanical Effluent Pre-treatment Plant carries out up different processes: de-watering and compaction of screened solid waste, separation of sand and removal of floating greasy matter. |

| Function |

| The sewage from cesspool tanks / interceptors or industrial plants collected by special tankers, has to be pre-treated before it can be introduced into any kind of purification system. This treatment removes solids, sand and greasy matter that is present in the sewage to avoid overloading of the system. |
